Word Problem
Interesting one this, I have several computers in my office and only on one of them I get the following problem:
When printing a multiple page word document, the automatic page numbering goes all wrong. If I print say a 5 page document normally the numbering says
1 of 5, 2of 5, 3 of 5 etc.
With this PC, printing the the same document, pages come out 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 3 of 3 etc.
Any ideas anyone - other than flattening it and reinstalling everything as it's fine apart from that one problem?
TIA cheers
Mark

What version of word? Is pc specific or document specific?
My guess is word 2000 SP3
If it is, get this hot fix from HERE
Details about this can be found HERE
These have also been found to help:
Reversing the print order (under Tools + Options + Print)
Works for almost everyone but is a major pain. If your printer has its own “reverse print order” hardware setting, you can, in effect, reverse twice,
thus saving yourself the trouble of re-collating; but this is hardly practical if it's a network printer.
Reversing the print order is a boon to users whose printers output face up (and hence in reverse order), but such users usually already have that
option set and consequently don't experience the Page X of Y problem to begin with!
Switch into Print Preview and back, twice if necessary. Make sure you have the “Update fields” option checked on the Print tab of Tools | Options
Works for some but not practical in a corporate environment – it's too easy to forget to do it.
In addition to (2)., try clearing the check box for “Background printing” on the same tab.
Works for more people than (2) on its own.
