1 minute (stopped waiting!)
IE7 - google search for "file cleaner"
2 seconds
WHY?

Works fine for me, although its FF2

It probably depends on your connection speed, the load on the ISP at the time, etc.

Similar result 1 - 10 of about 540,000 in 0.38s on FF3 (even with 2 programmes downloading on bbc iPlayer)

not on tiscali by any chance are you?
I have issues when I access at home (even after changing the DNS servers) but when accessing on other networks i have no problems
