Favourites File - IE
Just about to reformat the pc and was wondering is there's anywhere on the pc that stores the 'favourites file' using IE7 ?
There's way too much crap on there, but can't be arsed to sift through, so could I stick it on a flash drive or disk ?
Cheers,
Lyn

Click on File at the top.
Click on Import/Export...
Click on Next and then Export Favourites.
Follow the rest of it and note down where it installs it.

there sure is.
i use xp so it may be a little different on other os
left click on the green start
select explore
expand my computer (right click the '+' symbol)
expand your 'c' drive
expand 'documents and settings'
expand your user profile (mine is my name i.e 'YQUSTA'
in that profile is a folder called 'favorites'
right click that folder and on the left hand panel you should see all your favortie folders and bookmarks.
goto edit on the top bar
select 'select all'
then 'copy'
then just paste onto your removable disc and your sorted
once you rebuild your pc do the same thing but just copy from your storage into the favorites folder.
good luck
