hi all any advice would be good, got mk zx9 with clutch slip now in 3,4,5,6 what would be best replacement and where to buy and how much, also uprated springs needed. cheers
I have Barnett replacement springs and have never had any clutch slip at all. I believe that Barnet clutches themselves though are a bit poo. There's loads on this if you search but the consensus was that the standard clutch was alright and as good as others (except the barnett) combined with the uprated springs.
Barnett springs for me too and standard plates and mine was OK.
Cheers

Check the thicknesses of your steels and frictions because they may not need replacing. If they do, replace them with OEM ones. Clutch springs
generally need uprating in BEC's and Barnett springs are the ones to go for. Available from PDQ amongst other
places.

I would first check that your clutch cable isn't too tight, there should be 2mm play in the cable, when I first fitted my clutch cable I adjusted
all the play out of it, was ok for a while but then started to slip and got worst,I was told to check for play in the cable and as soon as I adjusted
play into it the clutch slipping dissapeared.
Failing that as above.
Hi, yes speak to PDQ ref any problems, Larry is the man, there based in Slough, i have used them many times. they do a great service & have a dyno too.
I've got a set EBC kevlar clutch plates, in a box never used if you'd like, for a reasonable price. Would fit C or E models. They come with
uprated springs as well.
As above check the cable first though as this happened to me also on a track day once.
