Our sky tv keeps on braking up on most tv channels, however not on sky3 as i'm watching it at the moment.
This evening i've added a booster between the dish an box. The signal is on the low side and didn't get any higher after I put the booster
in.
The viewing card also hasn't been replaced yet.
Could it be that the 10ish years that the dish has been up there its slowly moved in the wind and now isnt inline or is it something more?
Also the box crashes after a while and has only just started doing that.
Its a standard sky box not + or HD and single LNB.
Thanks in advance
Steve
Boosters are a complete waste of time; if you have a weak signal the noise they add just degrades it even more. As long as you have no obstructions
the standard mini-dish is adequate, at least in the southern half of the uk (a little bit marginal oop north, though they usually work ok).
Almost certainly your dish has moved, or your coaxial cable has got water in it.

Mine picture started to pixelate really badly and got progressively worse.
Thought about buying a new system, but pruned a bush that had grown in front of the dish instead.
Worked a treat.
There is a row of houses here that cannot get Sky because of a row of large trees.
