Some companies take the pee with postal charges!

Now that I've got my gas cylinder I needed a few bits & pieces.

I bought 2.5kg of TIG welding rods from one on-line supplier, who charged me £3.95 for P&P, which I thought was reasonable.

I needed a 90-degree regulator adaptor, which is a chunk of brass about 0.25kg - for which another company wanted £9.98 + VAT for P&P - in other words, more than 75% of the cost of the item! They must wrap the parcel in gold leaf...

Needless to say, I went elsewhere...

I've just posted off some welding gear I sold on eBay.

I guessed the postage at £15

Cost..... £14.69

I've found that if you try to buy small items online and the postage is rediculous, phone the place and ask if they will send 1st class RM. Usually they will.
