Specifically, I am after any Regs concerning the placement/installation of drive units (motors etc) in relation to the circulating air ducting.
I am of the opinion that drive units such as motors, drive belts etc, should be isolated from the circulating air, to prevent contamination of the
circulating air, in the event of a motor fire etc.
This partiucular query is in relation to an AHU in a hospital.
Should the system also have smoke dampers as well as fire dampers?
As smoke normally kills before the actual fire gets to victims.
I am not after opinions in this case, but hard facts as laid down in Building Regs etc.
Any replies greatly appreciated.
Cheers, John.
