Twiddling with suspension settings
Ninehigh - 7/6/10 at 04:33 PM

Putting this here because, well I don't know where to put it. I found an old PS2 and a copy of Gran Turismo 3 a few weeks ago and I'm dominating.

Well I was until I started fiddling with the suspension, now the MX5 is a bit tail happy. Problem is I've no idea what I've done to cause it. I know I changed the spring rate but I can't remember which way I went with it.

I can adjust the following:
Ride height
Camber
Toe angle (front and back)
Damper (bound and rebound)
Roll bar
Spring rate (in Kgf/mm)

I know roughly what each of them means, but what I'd like to know is which way to adjust for particular types of track. The tracks are pretty much either:
Long straights, fast course
Very twisty
Mix of the both.

What do you all reccomend?

Take your PS2 down to Matt at Procomp and get him to set it up for you. I'm sure he'll transform your car for you!!

Harder rear springs will make a car tail happy, as will increasing the damping.

Ah, that's what I've done. Cheers
