Not sure if that was a "tongue-in-cheek" comment but if not then for info purposes, your kidneys does not normally regenerate and it cant if
you take it out completely. You are thinking of your liver which can depending upon how much of it is lost/damaged. These is some stem cell research
going on that allows kidneys to regenerate but I dont know what the success has been with it. Certainly in lower species, there is evidence of kidneys
regenerating. However, an individual can live with one kidney but you would have to hope and pray that nothing happens to that one for the rest of
your life.
