Brilliant bit of footage. How dangerous is the chassis line

The press shops didn't look much diffferent from Cowley in the 70s when I worked there but they did admit they were a bit out of date...

fascinarting stuff .... amazing someone had the foresight to film something as mundane as a car production line so that I could watch it 80 years on

Very interesting there but I was amazed at the introduction of robots putting the dash assembly into the Mondeo in Genk. They were scary in that they 'looked' at the parts first, had a 'look' inside the car, looking around the dash area before picking it up and moving it inside the car. Little robot bolt runners on each side go in then when they done do a little salute!

I say scary as its nearly pitch black apart from when they are 'looking' a big light comes on so they can 'see' !!
