Ok so its might be a bit of fun and others might think 'what the .....?'
So here is the premise, it is possible to write your birth date down as a latitude and longitude with a bit of thought, I will use mine as an
example.
DOB = 11 07 1959
So take the day and month as the first part and this becomes 11 07 00 (six digits for each require), then the year becomes 19 59 00. The only problem
that you might have is IF any of the paired numbers exceeds 60 (only likely on the final year pairing, but this then changes only a little as you take
60 off of the second pair and add 1 to the first pair. ie my wifes year is 1962 so this becomes 20 02.)
You then these numbers and input them into google earth and get a rough location.
So my birthdate gets entered into google earth as
11 07 00 19 59 00.
Hit enter and see where in the world this takes you to. Then put this up here as a rough loaction relative to any towns or other notable locations. No
need to put up your birthday as I ONLY use mine as an example.
I will put up my results in my next post just for clarity.
My location
Central Africa
21 miles North West of Am Timan and 31.5 miles North East of Zakouma National Park.
My Wife is
Central Africa
5.8 miles West South West of Atetel and 6.1 miles East North East of Dzaroura.
Any other takers.
Son - 28.4 miles South South East of Sangba and 105.3 miles North West of Aguida
Daughter - middle of the libyan desert, 479.9 miles South of Benghazi and 707.9 miles South West of Alexandria.

Middle of a desert in Libya near Al Jawf.
Can I claim my oil field
I was born in the wierdest looking bit of terrain on earth in northern Chad. My childhood consisted of mostly washing sand out of my arse-crack in
Lake Yoa. Good times.
3Km SSW of Bir el Rhala, In Chad.
Not the most salubrious address I've ever had.
In the desert about 100km North West of Al Jazirah in Libya
Wife in middle of Lybian Desert, not the best place in the world right now, but she has no internet connection and cant see what parts I bought today on EBay
i am near the centre of libya , not quite right.lol

Thinking about it more, every single one of us will have been born in a thin strip of Africa either in DRC, Central Africa, Chad or Libya. Hmmmm wonder if we can modify the game to give more interesting results?
Mine came up with several places across the US, I don't think just entering the numbers works
Assuming you're not doing it wrong, maybe if Google Earth finds a more interesting match for your numbers than interpreting them as North and East latitude and longitude (like a US zip code?) it may take you there rather than the middle of nowhere in Africa? Based on just that grid ref format we're definately all in a thin strip of Africa - 19 or 20 degrees East and anywhere from 1 to 31 degrees North.

I can verify that. She lives next door to me.
Right in the middle of the Chadian desert, no pub and miles from the shops :-(
Another for somewhere in the Libyan desert. Pity it's not nearer the coast, then I could say that I've actually been there!
"Mine comes out in Northern Germany, up near Copenhagen. "

Not sure what you're entering to end up in Germany, but congratulations - it's a damn lot nicer than where I was born in Chad!
