How not to drive on a twisty road...
David Jenkins - 22/8/12 at 07:38 PM

...especially when it's your daddy's BMW!

And, if you must do it, don't strap your GoPro camera to the side of the car!

Coopz - 22/8/12 at 07:55 PM

Oh dear, looks like a good driving road!

mookaloid - 22/8/12 at 08:06 PM

And that's how under steer works

Not much to do with understeer, he doesnt even turn the wheel!
Just badly signposted blind bends and driver stupidity!

Understeer? He doesn't attempt to steer at all just goes straight on.

bi22le - 22/8/12 at 08:44 PM

So much stupidity. . .

Obviously did not drive the road ONCE before hand, missed the apex (or even turn), didnt even seem to brake. I hope daddy was pi$$ed.

Ha ha, dumb yank.

Hellfire - 22/8/12 at 08:49 PM

Oversteer, understeer and a perfect demonstration in the video of nosteer

It looks like his car left the road before the point where he started turning, as in he was 'flying'

David Jenkins - 22/8/12 at 09:07 PM

Yes - I don't think his front wheels were on the road on the final corner - you can see the thump as it lands.

It was obvious that he was going to crash from the way he was driving prior to the accident... it was more a case of 'when?'

A triumph of enthusiasm/hormones/stupidity* over ability!

to his credit it must take some effort to get over 2 tonnes of m3 airborne

I agree he wasn't steering much but at 35s he was steering left and it just went straight on

I didn't think you could drive at 12 in the States.

AndyW - 23/8/12 at 07:40 AM

I want to see what the car looked like afterwards, what kind of damage he did to daddys car.

Funny though

Simon - 2/9/12 at 12:27 AM

Hope it wasn't just his old man who was pissed, I hope a judge through a large heavy book at him, then beat him round the head with it.

I remember seeing a link on a BMW forum to a "youth" who kept on going on about "his" M5 and what mods he could do to it to make it quicker.

Later he, along with a few friends wound up dead cos he went of the end of a "runway" into woods.

ATB

Still dont think you can count it us understeer when the wheels arent touching the ground though! lol

swanny - 2/9/12 at 02:43 PM

Not even an attempt to save it.... Maybe he was waiting for GameOver: Replay? To appear on the windscreen?

JoelP - 22/9/12 at 08:37 PM

I thought that was a perfect demonstration of BMWs new device to pull your hood up for you lol

Hopefully daddy will just be glad he walked away from that one.

Repairing a rock-hopping BMW M3: $10,000.

Look on daddy's face when he sees his son's handiwork: Priceless!

b3ngy - 28/10/12 at 08:29 PM
