Locosters always seem to know stuff.
I work for a Exhibition Design company and I client wants a Wheel of Fortune spinning wheel on the stand. We have made these in the past and they
have been a bit crap due to poor bearings on the wheel.
I need a bearing that has a plate on one side that can be bolted on a wall and a similar plate on the other side that I can bolt a disc onto. The
disc will be probably be 18mm MDF sprayed with graphics and it'll be about 5ft in diameter.
We have little metalworking capability at work.
Does anyone know of any bearings that have a plate on each side?
Cheers
Do not complicate, an old wheel hub assembly will do this with ease and provide nice mountings for the wheel.
Just weld or bolt a couple of bits of angle to the rear to secure to the wall.
Do they want it secured in this way, a tripod stand may be better.
You can always box it in to hide ugliness

I'm mounting an old caravan hub on the wall of my workshop to use it as a cable reel - me cost zero pounds and nice and smooth
Bolt it to a pushbike wheel and you'll be able to cheat by using the brake
A ha, figured it. A lazy Susan bearing.
Thought these were for horizontal turntables, never seen one on a wall.
something like this would do it
Get an old wheel rim to fit drill 2 keyhole slots in
edge of rim near the top, then 2 bolts in wall
Or 2 hooks & 2 plain holes.
and Just hang it all up .
