How to spot if someone needs MS Project training...

just taken off a departments job schedule. This might not make sense unless you use project -

The project manager hadn't even noticed there was an issue!

I used to loathe MSProject with a passion. It was very good at demonstrating that precision is not accuracy in that it could give a very precise figure for when a project would be done (11:37am 24th August 2018) which had absolutely zero accuracy compared to reality. The problem was people who thought that if the computer said so then it must be right and the developers/engineers are just lazy work-shy good-for-nothings.

Well MS Project and any other planning software are just estimating tools, they have to be updated continuously with what actually takes place, the comparison then used to determine if you are on target and if not then the plan is reviewed to determine what can you do to rectify the situation.

Too many people think once a plan is drafted that’s that, when things change just through it out the window!
