Alan Alda did a science programme on Sky with an African Grey parrot like that - he held up plastic shapes in front of the parrot and asked it "what shape" or "what colour" and it got it right nearly all the time.
Very clever animals - maybe because they live so long (up to 100 years, apparently!)

My mate Kev's got one of those. It talks quite well but it's a nasty bleeder, crafty as well.
