Army at play . I feel I can sleep safer in my bed knowing there's a man somewhere dressed as a surgeon and another one as a schoolgirl to defend us in times of need. If they can do that to each other what are they going to do to an enemy? edit:- just read this bit at the end....the criminal aspect of it centred on whether the man shown to be knocked unconscious in the video was assaulted. He was kicked in the head for crying out loud, did he point and say, just there ought to do it please.

TBH I don't know what all the fuss is about. Half of my mates are in the forces, most the Royal Marines, and it looks to me like passing out ritual (initiations include drinking the odd pint of sick and fag ash etc.) Most people seem to be determined to turn the armed forces into the Pansy Mincington Brigade for Mincers. A lad I know (also at 42 Cmd) was lucky enough to only have to drink a pint of top shelf before being pushed in a river.

character building

What's that?
Why did he have to drink it, to show how tough he was or to save himself from further humiliation? As for character building, being knocked unconscious is more likely to cause brain damage, more like character altering.

Standard Top shelf - 1 shot from each of the optics on the top shelf - into one glass and down in one. To make a pint keep going until glass if full.

its strange that the Army make such an uproar about all of these goings on but then send the guys into battle and expect them to kill people. I getthe impression that they are only saying the right things cos it got into the public domain - i bet there main focus will be on locating who leaked it and ensuring that doesnt happen again.

if you forget the passing ceremony excuse bit, WTF did they all have to be naked? Does the army want to like like a bunch of gays?

From my experience, the Royal Marines are quite entitled to Work Hard and Play Hard. You know what your getting into when you apply. Their reputation in battle speaks for itself.

Rant over

If the private had kicked the NCO unconscious he would have been up for a court martial. I know two ex-soldiers who have had problems ever since leaving the army and now I know why. These were not men playing they were being made to fight each other naked by people in authority who would not be in that position in any sort of normal organisation. If your gaffer came in to work dressed as a schoolgirl would you do as he told you or fall about laughing, I know which I'd do.

i have never ever felt the need to dress up as a woman - its disturbing that our crack troops feel the need to.

theres a pun there im sure.

I dont recall any army recruting ads mentioning getting beat up by an officer dressed in panties........
