looks like it's firing 375 H&H or even a 458 MAGNUM both big game rounds, i've shot some rifles that kick and a 375 H&H does kick like a mule you just have to brace yourself... as for the 458 the yanks love it ...dunno why!! there are native elephants in the states are there

well one of the most popular round in the states is the "458 magnum" extremely big game round

Simon - 6/8/06 at 12:05 AM

It says 60 caliber - how big is that in in/cms. Cal means nowt to me I'm afraid

468 cal is 0.468 of an inch, so the 500 calibre is a half inch slug.

marcyboy - 6/8/06 at 06:54 AM

60 calibre... your now into "anti tank ammunition"
i doubt it though

marcyboy - 6/8/06 at 07:36 AM

it could be a .577
its an old buffallo hunting round
and that can give you a kick

cossey - 6/8/06 at 09:30 AM

you just need to treat them the same way youd shoot a shotgun, firm but not too tight grip the butt well into the bone in the shoulder and lean into it not backwards.

marcyboy - 6/8/06 at 02:14 PM

i never knew that
that's where i'm going wrong

DIY Si - 6/8/06 at 02:20 PM

What you really want is something capable of firing thisbig shell

120mm tank training rounds

The Shootist - 7/8/06 at 05:50 PM

but I've never even seen a .458.......

I did shoot a single shot .50 BMG once though.......

The Rifle in the 1st video is a .577 T-Rex.

As far as I know the video's origin is Accurate Reloading

This is where I saw it at least 2 years ago.
