When I can remember the process I can do it in a couple of minutes - I can even do pretty patterns on a good day!
... and yes, I have a life, family, et al!

Had one when I was a kid, pretty chuffed to get one side done.

After half hour I jammed a knife into it, split it apart and re-assembled it in the right order. Job done.

your only ever at most 14 moves from finishing it. the really impressive ones are the people who can look at them for a second then put them behind their backs and solve them without looking.

i was mates with a girl at collage who was really good, she taught me for maybe 20 mins and i was able to do 2 sides

she said a bit of practice i could work the rest out....

never did though

Can do them, but not in 20 seconds and certainly not one handed.

Though I do remember levering mine apart and using powdered graphite to lubricate the rotation. Did that make me more or less geeky?

Bet he does have a girlf with those quick fingers!

Peteff - 3/9/06 at 08:47 AM

You could peel the stickers off mine and do it that way but it took longer than 20 seconds .

ah like this you mean (scroll down a bit)

brilliant to see where knows he's made a mistake then goes back and fixes it.

Now that is really impressive. There's some processing going on in that brain of his.
