Ends the argument over BEC's versus CEC's - if a BEB is that far behind a CEC what chance would a BEC have
nice vid but it doesnt surprise me,,i had a job overtaking my m8 in his m3 whilst i was on an early r1,if his car wasnt restricted to 155 he would of
come past me.
over took an audi rs4 in the mk busa last summer in a line of traffic and when i got back on the right side of the road he sailed past me.
caught up with an rs4 at a trackday at oulton park and with in a few bends he'd vanished out of my rear view mirror . he came over for a chat at
dinner time and said he nearly smashed it up trying to keep up
I said that a Veyron would make a good donor. Keep an eye out on ebay in 20 years or so.

Its not exactly comparing like for like either!
Wouldn't exactly call a Veyron a production car... (mass production anyway)
Bit of a pointless exercise if you asked me.
£800,000 car, versus £8,000 bike. The R1 ain't a quick bike anyway, not by "modern" standards. I don't think the bike will come
close on handling, but chucking a turbo on, will deffo may the volkswagen owner think twice in a straight line.
Proof of R1 slowness:

Turbo bike (actually 242mph rather than 220!)

190mph is not slow, that's b@llocks. How much have they spent on the Akabusi to get another 20mph out of it. As for the Veyron, it will be dearer
in 20 years time than it is now, not cheaper. You don't really think it's going to depreciate like a Megane or Mondeo do you ?The Veyron
is still going to be 30mph faster than the turbo Busa, Captain Slow proved that The Busa is a barge compared to R1, just put them side by side they
are for different purposes, touring and scratching.

I (stupidly) raced a 360 Modena a few years ago when they were new on my old 600SRAD (not the fastest bike in the world!) and eventually beat it, and
not down to traffic - I beat it because I was stupid and took a risk that he started to take and then thought better of it.
I wouldn't do that race again now, mostly because I did it then, but to get anywhere near a supercar when he is going for it 100% is risking your
life anyway!
knee down on the road at over 150mph just isn't that much fun when you think about it afterwards! although I did have the most immense natural
high for about 3 hours!
I think the R1 could of been a damn sight closer, I am sure he wasn't killing the bike there, mind you, you don;t know how hard the other drivers
were going...
cheers,
Steve.
