Congestion sorted ?

Cheap easy-to-fly planes will solve road congestion - according to the plane maker (well he would say that wouldn't he ?)

Can you imagine the aerial equivalent of the 8-lane M25 in rush hour ? And how, where do they park ? What planet is he on ?

Oh Planet America, of course

most people don't seem to be able to drive a car particularly well. Add a vertical dimension and there'll be carnage.

And the fuel consumption will be worse. You'll have no rolling resistance to overcome but you'll have to keep the thing in the air instead.

Within 20 years!!!

I think Moller might get there first

With advances in GPS and computers, the "driver" won't have to do much apart from type in the destination and push the go button.

Still, an optional extra might be a joystick

It's already been done. Years ago there was a hybrid, I think called an aerocar. Drove to somewhere were you could take off, attach the wings, which trailed behind the car on the road and off you go.
