I know this is a squillion miles away from a car based question but LB has never yet failed me in looking for good advice.
I need to fit a thermostat to my central heating system. The boiler is in such a position it is impossible (without major grief) to hardwire a
thermostat. Has anyone got any experience of wireless thermostats?
Any types/makes to go for/avoid?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
I got a one to go with my vaillant boiler in last house. Apart from it being way clever than me i found it was great.
got a horshman (bad spelling) from screwfix
brilliant bit of kit
Thanks guys,
Darren, any idea on the make you got?
Dave, looking of the screwfix site I can only find Vokera. Is that the one?
Cheers,
Mike
Mine was a vaillant one. There is a reciever near the boiler and the remote unit which can obviously be anywhere. Excellent bit of kit, boiler was in
loft so this was easiest way to do it. Unit was about £100 but obviously saves messing on with wires to a fixed controller.
Only downside is if you forget where you have put it!!
mine is the one listed as screwfix on this link

Yup - I have a Drayton - very easy to install and use. And you can have the thermostat wherever you want it then....
