Wouldn't have though the 12 bird roast would have been too bad (provided you have a reasonable sized portion), but the heart attack sandwich
looks very ropey.

That's not an American invention - I believe that it dates back to Henry VIII or even earlier.
Some chef had a go at making it recently (Hugh Fearlessly-Eatsitall?) - he said that the biggest problem is ensuring that the inner birds are fully
cooked without cremating the outer ones. Never mind the fat content - worry about Salmonella!
