OT: Environmental March
My girlfriend announced this evening that she would like me to go to a environment awareness march/rally. You know the sort of thing, placards,
marching on westminster, tye dye clothes, lentils, tree hugging, chaining ourselves to trees etc etc etc. I am not sure I am the right person for
this. She says it will be good for us to do this together - supporting the planet and her work (she works for DEFRA, i.e government paid for
eco-warriors).
She is slowly turning me to her ways, I have noticed that I now refuse plastic bags in shops (cos of the planet) and I recycle (it really takes no
time at all). I am going to have to take solid action to stop myself going down this road, next thing will be a Prius.
I am thinking of doing the only sensible thing at the environmental Rally - I placard saying 'I OWN TWO CARS, ONES A GTI AND THE OTHERS A
V8'
rant over - thankyou

If i thought you where serious, i'd say go.
ex is heavily into the enviromental thing and i find it very interesting talking to her.
Just be careful who is organising it and what their stated aims are (plus what fringe groups may attend). Read up on anything you're asked to
sign before signing ....... read up away from the march rally.
I spent nearly an hour discussing with one of the head campaigners of greenpeace at glastonbury this year. Some of the things he said made a good
argument but weren't actually totally true. I suspected but couldn't prove at the time. Which is a pain for me as it spoils the whole
argument. I'm more than willing to accept holes in arguments, just not made up facts
