Chain gunning video

Ever wondered what 300+ 20mm rounds per minute do? (Remember only every 5th or 7th bullet is tracer)

I was watching some Sky programme about the Apache helecopter, where they said that they could only carry enough ammo for 1 or 2 minutes continuous fire.
Reminded me of the Hurricane and Spitfire - imagine flying off several times per day for a life-or-death dogfight knowing that you only had 30 seconds worth of ammo in your plane...

Eeek.

Ahhh the trusty Minigun!

Not a pleasant subject i know, but I remember reading about these used in Nam, where they had up to 3 TWIN miniguns down one side of a large transport aircraft, that's 6 of the guns shown on that video, on one plane! The photos of them firing at night just show a Chinese Fan of red tracer coming from the sky.
