Cool new band - Instill

If you like some alternative rock (SOAD style), then you should take a look here:

http://www.instill-online.com/home.htm

Put your speakers on and listen to the streaming MP3, especially 'Conkers'.

Rather good

They are currently unsigned, and are from Surrey.

David

PS I have a few of their MP3s if people want to hear any thing other than Conkers . All very similar to SOAD, but funnier

Rather good indeed, Funky Funky
Recently discovered 'Disturbed'
'Down with the Sickness' was played at my local union's rock night and totally blew any Metallica away! Still, doesnt come close to Rage or Maiden

Disturbed blowing metallica away? Metallica aren't very good as it is but they're certainly better than Disturbed

I mean their albums up to and including AJFA, I don't do the rest ^__^

Ok maybe blowing away was a slight overstatement but it sure made a nice change from overplayed Metallica and MM

Wasnt so sure when Nickelback got played tho....

Lol. I was DJing at the last rock/metal night at our union. Heres my set list for you to peruse.

Disturbed dont come close to many of the better metal bands around.

One song I didnt get round to playing was GZR - Misfit. GZR come highly recommended by me anyway, as they are Geezer Butlers band (He of Black Sabbath fame)

Set List:
The Undertones - Teenage kicks
Dio - We Rock
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
Velvet Revolver - Slither
Megadeth - Hanger 18
Lordi - The Devil is a Loser
Black Label Society - Stillborn
Nightwish - Dark Chest of Wonders
Motely Crue - Girls Girls Girls
Metallica - Sad but True
Korn - Here to Stay
Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl
Rammstein - Du Hast
System of a Down - Sugar
Pantera - Fucking Hostile

Metal? Looks more like soft rock to me

Just cos you like the really heavy stuff...

Besides I was told to keep it pretty mainstream. I was pushing my luck with BLS!

I do like teh heavy stuff yeah I know what you mean about having to play certain things, a local night at a pub here plays stuff like that, play any metal and people would literally leave Once at our union rock night, there was the last hour where anyone can request a song so I bought a decapitated CD in a played a song, over 100 people left the dance floor and it was me and my friend gareth left Plenty of room for us to windmill though ^__^
