He will get legal aid.
Then, as he is of non english origin he will probably get away with it.
...Then he will sue the system for discimination & make a fortune at the tax payers expense.
Welcome to England.

It's dangerous to drive blind?

I never would have guessed.

OMG....

They asked for an acquittal for him.

I quote.
"it's not whether his driving was dangerous but whether being blind makes your driving dangerous"

Well duh!!!!

Unbelieveable.

crossing a white hazard line will get you 'careless driving' or 'dangerous driving' depending on the circumstances. Personally I'd say driving while having no eyes is dangerous rather than careless.

Why is he here?

I don't mind immigrants and all that but I just wondered, that's all. No insurance, no licence, no MOT, no eyes are they a legal requirement ? He could have used a pushbike if he just wanted to try his road skills.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I watched the video clip and now I'm confused.
The guy covers his head so you cant recognise him?????????????????
How the feck will he be able to see the disgust on your face when you recognise him.
There's no justice in this country. If it'd been one of us crossing the line during a moment of madness/lack of concentration we'd be nicked and fined. As the previous post I've nowt against people coming here to work (I've got a Polish guy working with me at the moment and boy can they work) but I'm at a loss as how we all should subsidise guys like this who can't (through no fault of his own) work, and pay taxes.

Its is no longer politically correct to call them white lines anymore - they are median position marker lines

Yeah, banned from driving for three years AND he has to take an extended driving test!

"Right Sir, could you read out the number plate of that car over there for me? No, oh well never mind. Let's see how you get on with a three point turn."

WTF

Mike

"The law requires that a licence holder or applicant is considered as suffering a prescribed disability if unable to meet the
eyesight requirements, i.e. to read in good light (with the aid of glasses or contact lenses if worn) a registration mark fixed
to a motor vehicle and containing letters and figures 79 millimetres high and 50 millimetres wide (i.e. post 1.9.2001 font)
at a distance of 20 metres, or at a distance of 20.5 metres where the characters are 79 millimetres high and 57 millimetres
wide (i.e. pre 1.9.2001 font). If unable to meet this standard, the driver must not drive and the licence must be refused or
revoked.
Registration for sight impairment or severe sight impairment will normally be regarded as incompatible with holding
a driving licence and should be notified. However, attention will be given to the standards indicated below in deciding on
fitness to drive."
