He he. Didn't expect it to go up quite like that though.

Had one on the bench while my father was arc welding, he just tapped the can with the rod and there was 10 foot flames across the workshop. New bloody tin as well.

Couple of good life lessons.
1. think before acting
2. after forgetting 1. drop and roll to put yourself out

It says never incinerate or puncture pressurised cans, so he tries to do both. What did he think was going to happen? At least the cameraman had the brains to stand well back. Gazza, did you get any training with the welder, like remove all flammable materials from the work area etc.? There is a common sense element but it is included in the instructions somewhere, I was taught it years ago when I was learning to gas weld.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Can't teach an old dog new tricks. I get health and safety all week at work, especially now I'm the site supervisor, but the old boy has been in his workshop for 30+years, self employed, restoring British bikes and its a tip. The whole bench is earthed and the welder is never off so its sparks a plenty, there's more than WD all over, it wasn't his biggest fire by no means, but certainly the longest horizontal flames.........
