This is a place for jokes!
It may have a dual voltage transformer on it, in which case it will work with a tourist adapter. If its 110 v only you'll need a transformer,
quite chap from maplins etc.

Depends what it is. If it's a high-wattage device you'll need a huge transformer.
I had a Canadian visiting London who wanted to charge up his wheelchair using a titchy voltage adaptor bought at the airport. a 1KVA transformer from
work did the job.
A device using a chopper power supply (most electronic gear) generally doesn't like being fed from a chopper voltage adapter which is why you
should get a proper 240 - 110 step down transformer.
