if your'e in autotrader you'll get loads of em. they get veru boring and annoying very quickly.

i had a stupid eejit ring up about a car i was advertising once. was advertised at £2800iirc, was trying to offer me £1500, reconn'd that must be what i was after for it. he was coming a long way with cash, he must of thought i was stupid. worrying thing is some people must buy this crap as otherwise they'd have stopped doing it ages ago.
not to be racist but he had a very strong foreign accent, sounbded like he'd jsut got over from nigeria

I've had my share of wee takers on the past with auto trader too.

It's already cheap so I won't even humor stupid offers. I haven't the patience.

It will get PXed if my local garage find me the car I'm looking for anyway.

stupid offers are one thing, and yes they are annoying, but then so are daft prices!!!!!!

So many times I have been to see cars where the owner is clearly convinced that their car is worth the "Parkers Guide A1 Price" when it's a piece of crap and they get all offended when I offer half that after pointing out all the car's faults!!!

fair enough NS Dev, but the guys i heard from weren't even prepared to come and see the car without negotiating a 50% cut price dealm first!

ahh, now that is different, I have certainly never done that. If the price is really too high then I just don't go and look. Negotiation by phone when you haven't seen the car is rather cheeky!!
