Biggin Hill Airshow
I decided to take my kids to the Biggin Hill airshow yesterday.
They love most things noisey (which is a good thing) so we expected a fun day out.
Having left home for the 30 minute drive at 9.30am we finally arrived at 12.15pm.
Lots of display's cancelled due to planes going "tech" which is disappointing but understandable due to the age of the aircraft and
safetly issues.
I was gutted to miss the Vulcan and Lanc.
The Typhoon, Spit, 109 and 747 were excellent!
We decided to leave soon after the Red Arrows (which the kids loved).
Jumped in the car at 5pm and headed off. Finally left the car park at 7.45pm! and got home just before 9pm!
What makes it worse was we booked well in advance, got advance parking and was told we would get dedicated routes to easy entry.
Boll@cks - Didn't see a single sign, no advanced parking and got to queue with those paying on the gate. The organisation was terrible - what a
disgrace.
What a complete and utter shambles! Never going back to Biggin Hill as long as I live!
