+1
Kwak is best, as long as that's still being made ^_^
The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make
it moral.

I'm actually quite partial to a bottle o' Leffe or two.
You can pour Stella straight down the bog and cut me out though !

Just what I was thinking
"Oh no, no more Stella! That means people will have less chance of being stabbed on a night out!"

Nothing like a good drop of locally brewed ale. I work with a guy that runs a micro-brewery at a local monastery (Buckfast Abbey), and makes enough
for the Monks and to sell to local pubs and beer festivals etc.

It would be nice if we could get genuine European lagers in this country - for example, general-purpose Carlsberg in Copenhagen is splendid stuff
(although extremely expensive at £5 for 500ml - just under a pint) and bears no resemblance to the fizzy pop with the same name we get here.
Good stuff can be found in bottles, such as Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar (not the American rubbish!) but at a premium price.
I still prefer a good pint of Adnams though...

Hi indykid
I'm from Leeds, a good musso pub with good beer is one of the main things I miss.
I look forward to a pint of good stuff in The Grove everytime I get back.

You know I've never really seen the point of all these beers with strange names like Bishop's Finger and Hairy Lass.. Then again
they're mostly the same to me

Its in gateshead still, which is near enough to newcastle, but if it has moved already, at least tadcaster is nearer!
