well bugger me thats the drill i used all day today, for the first time! What a coincidence.
Good points is it seems very powerful, very short for small spaces, has a light and a 3aH battery.
Bad point IMHO is no chuck, but maybe thats just how they are.
I do definately want a pair!

Yep used one today too! Very good but I notice that the advert is for the body only, you might want to find out the prices of batteries before you buy
it as they are pricey, chargers should be cheap enough of ebay though. Battery life is good and only takes about 30 mins to charge so you might get
away with only 1 battery.
Sorry wasnt quick enough!

it has the circa 7mm hex thing with a pull thingy to hold bits in, ie it either takes driver bits, or the drill bits with the hex attachment.

I have one of those. Mine had to be returned on warranty after 10 minutes' use, though, as the clutch in the impact head wore out in that
time...driving 2" wood screws into cedar! I doubt that's typical of these units, though. If I were you, though, I'd buy it
somewhere where you can be assured of having warranty service available. Mine was away for 4 months for it's repair, and the repair centre lost
my bill of sale (they insisted on the original, or they wouldn't service it), so I have no warranty on the rest of the 6-piece Makita set.
Just a word to the wise...
