mad project idea....

well my house is almost done for now and that only leaves me with a shed to rebuild, the dax to build and a scimitar to rebuild - so naturally I've been thinking about other projects

my tin-top is quickly getting to that point where its not work keeping anymore
its a 2001 mk1 focus with a 1.8 blacktop
it seems to have a few vac. leaks I can't find, an oily looking water pump, what might be oil in the water and in need of a timing belt - never mind the big rusty bits on nearly every door...

so I'm thinking flog it for the max. I can get (i.e. not much), but then I remembered the RWD conversions I'd seen a while back.....
I've got a spare type 9 box in the garage and my neighbour's got a mk3 granny waiting for the day he gives up on it.

so would I be totally mad to think about keeping my car (and possibly its engine) to build it into another toy car ?
