I'm very pleased that the UK is still together and I am very much looking forward to a time when English MPs won't be able to vote on
Scottish matters, and Scottish MPs won't be able to vote on English Matters.
I would be even more pleased if Scottish MPs agree not to vote on English matters in Westminster from now on.

So I'm guessing that Mr Salmond will not be putting his order in now for the fleet off new aircraft that he had been thinking about for his new
airline.

I was about to post that I would now expect Salmond to start a new battle - he always reminds me of the old-school union leaders from the 60s &
70s who loved a shouting match - but it looks like he's had enough.
I wonder what sort of person their new leader will be?

Yeah, but you could give everyone of them a million quid and some would still be unhappy.

Yeah but how much of mainly our money has this Salmond ego trip cost us, it could have been spent on stuff that would have benefitted everyone.
Cheers,
Bob

None or very little actually if you cared to research. Mostly donations, the largest chunk of money came from a Scottish couple who won 160 million
quid on the euro millions.
And 'our money' is a kind of bollox statement, when you consider people north of the border contribute more per head into the pot than
you do down there. So at least get the facts before making statements. There has to be a reason why the UK government was so desparate to hang on to
Scotland, if it was such a drain on resources they would have happily waved the Scots on their way.
And before I'm labelled as a robRoy nationalist I'm actually an Englishman living up here and am glad that sense prevailed and we stayed
together.

This makes me angry.
Not because they get more than we do, but because they don't believe that they get more then we do.
The idea that we were desperate to hang on to Scotland because it is some sort of rich little country is ridiculous.
We are better together because we are stronger as a nation together,

There is something fishy happening.
Many scots wanted sole governance for the plaice..
The leader, alex salmon looks to be replaced by nicola sturgeon.
Someone should findus more about what is going on.
