JK Composite seats- cutting holes!

I've picked up a nice used set of JK seats from a striker, for my Phoenix.
They have the base mountings fitted issue is I have 6 point belts in the
car and want to continue to use them really. Which would need a slot in
groin area. Has anyone either done this retrospectively to set of seats or
have any pics of seats that are done please?

Thanks for the reply, sorry I should have been a bit more clear. I'm really after a picture of where the hole should go
Also what should be done with the lower mount, as ideally IIRC the groin strap should be inclined forwards about 10-
20 deg from the vertical
Cutting out not a problem, I'd probably cut some holes with a hole cutter and use a die grinderfor the rest, it flies
through GRP!

I have some MK seats and I think the JK ones could be similar. That type of GRP seat has a double skin just below your Kahonies where the hole needs to be. I decided that it was not the best idea to fit them to that car while fitted with those seats. I am however willing to be contradicted and watch this thread with interest.

personally I wouldnt cut a hole for the crutch strap...

you need seats made to take a crutch strap.
the hole needs to be reinforced...
would hate for belt to tear through in an impact!!

I should have said I have emailed JK about this but as yet not had a reply, I will call them once it's convenient to call
If the belts are fitted at the correct angle and in the right place then they shouldn't be in a position to rip through in an impact

Thanks for the link, I'm on a really slow connection on an iPhone and to search anything with pictures
Mine are the same except the seat is fibreglassed into sort of tub, which just bolts to the floor
As per the base mount seat here

Yes those are the base mounts. Looking at them from underneath I think it may be possible
to run a bar across the floor between the forward mounts for the seat, above the floor.
Would need to still be bolted through the floor independently for strength. Seats are 400
miles away at the mo so can't check!
Other issue is they have the 5 piece upholstery set and would need to re-model those around
any hole made
