Does Poirot (aka David Suchet) annoy you? (in the TV series)

Just a quick poll, i read in the metro today about him (60 second interview) and he brought back memories of annoyance with his character, Poirot.
Whether or not this was deliberately woven into his character is another matter, but, do you agree with me that he is irritating?
