It's one of the newer techniques to get past the spam blockers - the extra words phrases make the message look real to the filtering algorithms.
Some of the "from" names are pretty clever - "Chomping P. Imp" emailed me just the other day .
But some I don't get at all - does "Doris Jolly" really think I'll apply for a mortgage through someone who sends me emails
titled "your payment has been refunded"?
