I bet that hurt!!
I've lived a life that's full.
I've traveled each and ev'ry highway.
But more, much more than this,
I did it side-ah-ways.

Photoshop job?
He still has part of the handlebar in his hand.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Hopefully (for him) there is a big pile of earth for a landling ramp out of shot on the left.

Gotta say, not defending the badly done photo chopping, I've seen lads do this sorta thing at the Scottish bike show just gone. Amazing! Really
good, and they still walk properly afterwards, not like a cowboy would.

What gets me is how do you practice? I mean doing loops hundreads of times over to get it right must result in shed loads of crashes. Very expensive
and very painfull!!!!

Freestyle ski jumpers (mogul type) do it into water with air being pumped in to break the surface.
BMXers use pits filled with foam cubes.
Not sure how you would do it with a motorbike as you couldnt do it into water, too heavy for the foam i would imagine.
Cant remember who the first bloke to do a backflip on MX bike was but can you imagine the feeling halfway round on his first one!
It may have been Travis Pastrana, i know he is doing no handed back flips now.

Carey Hart did the first "filmed" back flip.
Travis is onto double backflips
