Holiday time
OK so Me and SWMBO are thinking about this years hols and we're fancying Gran Canaria. As you lot are well travelled I wondered if you'd
give me some of the valuable info you've gleaned over the years. We're looking at Maspalomas (at the moment) possibly All Inclusive (never
done it before and sceptical about not being happy with the grub) and having to eat elsewhere (Yeah I know we can complain as well) but sometimes the
problem is not always resolved to your satisfaction till you get back. Ideally we're looking for somewhere not to busy/bustling for through the
day but not like a morgue at night either. Lets hear your thoughts. Oh and I'm a young 40ish and SWMBO doesn't look a day over her
age. Theme pubs with good beer and a cabaret etc would suit.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

do watch out for the rip off culture out there, the touts will lie through their teeth to sell beer/tickets etc. It might be a spanish territory but
it is NOT european standards.
ie a glass bottomed boat 'swim with dolphins' and jetskis for 15 euros, became a booze cruise on a flithy barge, and 25 euros for the
jetski. And the dolphins were laughing far away...

I stayed in the princess hotel in gran caneria too, hotel is very clean, bigish rooms and nice food, the pool is big and theres a crazy golf course,
tennis courts etc all on site!
and some act on stage every night!
....reccomended by me too!
