Poking round for a short crunchy noise switching from drive to overrun and back I notice play on the drive flange at the nose of the diff (Escort mark
1 I believe, how can you tell Mk 1 or 2?).
I know there are issues with crush tubes etc but are the bearings DIY replaceable? Can I get it reworked (locost of course), any other options or
thoughts and opinions on this being the source of the noise?
