In my experience they are pretty poor. Swapped for mintex and never looked back.

Can you get mintex pads to fit powerlites?

Yep. Or at least you could?
Bought the powerlites from rallydesign with the smart pads which after a bit of research confirmed my fears, they weren't very good.
Got some mintex pads, i think but do check, that they are mk1 elise pads?

The powerlites take standard M16 caliper pads, so you can get all sorts of different compounds.

Some of the race spec wilwood ones are very good, even from cold, but they really do eat discs and the dust is bad for your wheels. :d

James,

Not sure about the HB caliper taking std pads, but 99.9% certain the std powerlite does.

There are pad dimensions on the wilwood site if you want to double check.
