Morning all,
Just fitting the exhaust for the first time with the bodywork on - it comes out over the top rail, and with the body in it's normal position, it
touches one of the headers. we can move the bod in by maybe a mil or two, but it's still too close and I think the exhaust will clash against the
body when the engine moves.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this (thicker gaskets maybe?)
Cheers
Vince
Do you have any room for adjustment of the engine mounts? Not familiar with the MNR mounts, but on my MK the chasis mount points are slots rather than holes to allow for some side to side adjustment of engine position.

What about a packing plate made from another manifold flange? That should give you another 5mm or so.
Might run out of stud length though!

why not put a 1/4" packing washer under the engine mount instead of having several joints in the exhaust
