In for an engine cover, (engine in the back) the cover is to be lifted off.
Managed to secure the front, the back of it needs to be secured, liked the idea of the cam lock, just concerned that the edges don't look
profiled.

I am in the same boat. Bought a cam lock to secure my bootpanel, problem is, it has a sharp edge that I'm sure would fail. I am looking to see if I can radius it with either a nut cover, or maybe even some silicone sealant!
I had the same problem with my boot cover. The solution was to use a wiring grommet of the right diameter for the lock to just fit inside. Best are
the ones where the centre is solid and you cut out the hole yourself, so cut a hole big enough for the lock to go through, slice off the bit of the
gromment that would otherwise go through to the underneath of the panel (so you don't have to make the panel hole oversize) and refit the lock.
The lock should hold the grommet in place, and the grommet willl stop any SVA man's balls from reaching a potentially sharp edge.

Nice solution - thanks for that. I'll look to see what I have grommet wise....
Humbug, brilliant idea, Will try this, thank you.
