looks rather more like a hot rod, I wonder what its drag is like, I'd have thought, if it had a roof would be quite efficient. I suspect those are wheel spats taken off aircraft

no, I was referring to the effectiveness of the "streamlined" shape.

that style goes back to 1930s? before people really understood aerodynamics.

I bet there are modern cars with much lower drag that do not posses any raindrop shaped parts - hence the show part.

teardrop shapes are the way to go for a car that looks like its moving when stationary, all good aircraft are designed like that

never understood why a car should look like a box on wheels, and yes I do own a boxbird...but I have a beetle too
