OK Yeah Yeah I know - GLASS
but what type and specification.
If I go to a glazier I can't just ask for "Glass" I need to know it is XYZ glass to ABD standard or what ever.
Although not a Locost, the Trials car that I'm building has a very similar screen using a frame made from 1/8" wall aluminium channel.
I've just had glass cut and fitted to it. The glass is 6.4mm laminated. The windscreen firm supplied the rubber insert as well as the glass. If
you are going racing, laminated is a must and it should also have a transfer with laminated and I think the conformity code.

it must have the correct spec PVB interlayer. I can't remember the exact psec off the top of my head, but as long as you ask for windscreen quality and it is marked BS857WS.
Dont know the full specs, but as im infact mid window replacment (on insurence, after it cracked) i can confirm the westy also has 6.4mm laminated
glass.
- Apprently it has been known for people to get glass companys to cut down a landrover screen (also flat lamitated glass of the right type) although
min is being cut from a virgin sheet.
Daniel
OK can get L/R winscreens cheap. so might just get that cut.
