Hi, I'm coming up to the stage where I have to fit the body panels to my Indy and was wondering whether using adhesive is a decent enough way to
do it? The guys at the factory said they'd done that with one of their demo cars and it was fine.
Another problem is how easy will they be to remove if I do use adhesive? I'd like them to be fairly easy to get off incase one of them gets
damaged and needs replacing.
Cheers,
Pete
Theres your problem, they will be fine attached with "sikaflex", but getting them off will probably destroy them. It sticks like sh1t to a
blanket.
It's your choice.

as Chris says.
On modern buses the panels are glued on with sikaflex- tiger sealer they wont fall off

I bolted one of my side panels on as getting the exhaust manifold out would be impossible without engine out, the other I stuck. Both ways is easy.
You will have about 7 bolts holding the panel on with the scuttle/nose/wing fitting to begin with so rivet or rivnut in another 4-5 locations and you
will be fine. If you damage a panel it will probably be scrap so pu glue should not be a problem.
