I am about to fit seats and would like to get hold of some large steel load spreader washers 50mm dia x 5mm thk x 8mm bore; any ideas for source. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

If you can't find any, why not get some steel strip, hacksaw off some rectangles and drill holes in the middle?

Cheap and, if you take some care in filing off the rough edges, it will look neat and tidy.

An easy way to make a large "washer" would be to use a hole saw. Hole saws are available in many diameters, and then you can simply drill out the center to your disired dimenstion.

or....

you can realise, like i did, that the book design does not give a lot of support for the seats - the floor can move and ping.

I welded two extra rhs sections across that co-incided with the pickup points for the seat. can use normal fixing that way and have a nice stable seat.
