I was talking to a friend the other day - he was talking about fastening some plastic to a metal bar, and how it had to look tidy. I immediately
thought about those shiny, dome-headed bolts that some people use to fix their cycle wings onto the stays.
Trouble is, I tried looking for them in all the usual kit and car supplier catalogues (e.g. Namrick, and similar places) and failed to find any... I
think that my main problem is that I'm using the wrong words in the search boxes.
So, can anyone tell me their proper name, and possibly a supplier?

Coach bolts perhaps (if you search "bumper bolts chrome "on e-bay you get slightly flatter versions).

That's what I would use, but he doesn't want any slot, cross-head or hex hole... the bolts I was thinking about were very shiny (poss. chromed) and smooth. I suspect that they were posh coach bolts... the ones with a square bit under the head.
What about these with the heads polished

That's a possibility - I'll point him in that direction.
