To get rid of some orange peel in cellulose, I've sanded back with 600 grit, then 1200 grit and then polished with Farecla G3 using a mop on a
machine. The result is no more orange peel but a sheen rather than a shine.
What do I need to do? More G3 on the machine? G3 but by hand? Some other finer polish?
whatever the finer one is, g10? on the machine

Those folks take car polishing waaaayyyyy too seriously.
They'll give you your answer.
This is what I do, and it come up super shiney.
Clay bar, to remove swirls from G3 and mop.
Then 3 step - this is a fine cut, then a polish then wax. Personally I use meguiars, but there are others too. (Do all of this with straight backwards
and fowards polishing, not round in circles!)
The finally Jetseal, this is like a super hard wet look top coat. Its not cheap, but it does mean the car will stay super shiney for 12months!

Forgot to say, use a microfibre polishing cloth, not the woven cotton ones...
Time consuming, but worth it!

im on that forum too !!
there is nothing wrong in taking pride in your vehicle
even tho it took me 3 days to clean my van after the previous owner had it valeted
the day before i collected it
Wash and polish with Autoglym products and decent clean sponges/cloths.
Get in and drive looking at the road ahead, not the shinyness of the car
That said when I had more time on my hands I did spend a ,lot of it polishing my 205s
I used G10 straight after G3. Then followed by good wax polish.
