I am looking at ways of installing a wind deflector.
Any suggestions....................
I would like black to blend in with the rest of the car.
As usual cost is one of the main criteria
Ive just done one of those, buy a flat piece of polycabonate and diy.
Rescued attachment Aeroscreen and mirror bracket.JPG
looks good. Iwas pondering how to attach to the scuttle. Yours seems to be fiited sides and centre. Good idea
Interesting question with regard to SVA
At what point does a "wind deflector" become a "windscreen" (and require wipers and demister etc)

I think when it is above about 5" or when the driver looks thru it in the normal driving position.
Its not worth guessing at these things.
Have a look at the Seabass posting here

with the diagram attached. Interestingly my SVA manual shows the 5 deg angle as 4 deg (June 2000 edition). There is also a table that goes with the
diagram that lists the dimensions of 'A' & 'B' varying depending on the seat back angle if it has a fixed back, as
follows:-
Angle Dim 'A' Dim 'B'
15 - 19 deg 582.5mm 178.8mm
20 - 24 deg 572.0mm 182.6mm
25 - 29 deg 562.5mm 187.2mm
30 - 34 deg 553.4mm 191.3mm
35 - 39 deg 543.5mm 194.9mm
40+ deg 534.1mm 198.8mm
This is another instance, as has been mentioned before on this forum, where a copy of the SVA manual is definitely money well spent.
